We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about the hidden dangers of the internet for children and teens. These dangers include cyberbullying, self-harm, cyber dares (such as the Knockout Challenge, Blackout Challenge, fentanyl poisoning, and body shaming), as well as supporting families coping with grief after losing a loved one.

At the Matthew E. Minor Awareness Foundation, we don't just advocate for our cause; we actively live by it. Our proactive approach ensures our mission to protect children online remains in action.

We have also established a nationwide memorial scholarship for college-bound students to help them achieve their educational goals..

The Matthew E. Minor Awareness Foundation was created to honor 12-year-old Matthew E. Minor. He passed away on March 7, 2019. Matthew passed as a result of accidental asphyxiation from the Choking/Black-out challenge on YouTube & TikTok

Matt, as he was affectionately known, was the kind of kid who helped anyone he met. He showed the new kids around the school. He was considered the "ambassador" of his academy for his likability and openness.

We sincerely believe that with your help, we can raise awareness about cyberbullying, cyber-dares, blackout challenges, and Knockout challenges. We strive to raise funds for our nationwide scholarships, helping college-bound students achieve their future educational goals with scholarship money.
